Operation Management – Management Successes

- Responsible for Operational Management for an outsourcing division utilizing 26 high-speed cut sheet & roll feed printers, 20 high-speed automated mailing systems, Manual Finishing & Fulfillment Departments, and multiple warehouse locations.
- During a 4-month period, implemented new processes, negotiated better contracts, and eliminated wasteful expenditures creating an annual savings of 10% of the operational budget. Savings realized from facilities, material, equipment, and payroll.

- Implemented multiple digital roll feed print lines using H & I configurations.
- Managed digital prepress department utilizing current Adobe, Quark and Xerox software.
- Managed Xerox B/W & color operation responsible for 35+ million impressions a month.
- Implemented a Roll Feed Department creating over 50 million available clicks a month.
- Cross-trained existing print operators for roll feed environment.
- Implemented facility wide cross-training program enabling team members to move between Automated Finishing, Digital Printing and warehouse and fulfillment areas.
- Managed equipment replacement process of 6 high-speed digital printers while maintaining client’s daily output requirements.
- Automated Finishing and Mailing - Management Successes
- Implemented scheduling techniques to improve mail drop dates by as much as 1 ½ days.
- Redesigned operations to improve workflows and accommodate new equipment.
- Reduced machine operators from 2 per system to 1 per system while maintaining service level agreements.
- Successfully managed external and internal service contracts and technicians.
- Implemented strategic staging areas to provide better use of floor space and improve operator’s efficiency levels.
- Migrated metered mail process to manifest mail for jobs consisting of over 400K pieces per cycle. Project eliminated metering as a point failure opportunity within process.

- Complete reorganization and “zoning” of warehousing operations to improve functionality and efficiencies.
- Implemented material standards requirements within receiving process to improve quality within digital print and automated mailing departments.
